Keith Flower Partner


After serving his articles with a West End of London firm of solicitors, Keith went into commerce and was in-house solicitor for H J Heinz, before entering the world of property development.

After spells of service as company solicitor with a small development company specialising in leisure, and later with John Laing Property Company, he set up his own private practice capitalising on the skills gleaned in both his earlier private practice and recent commercial experience.

Over 30 years in Pinner Green, a satellite of Pinner Village has seen the firm of Keith Flower & Co become one of the most experienced and respected firms in the area giving advice on a wide range of subjects beyond those normally expected from a High Street firm.

Mary Derry

Mary Derry Partner


Mary joined Keith Flower & Co in 2004, becoming a Partner in 2006.  She originally worked in the commercial sector for Rolls Royce Motor Cars.  When her children were very young she decided to return to study and successfully qualified as a Solicitor in 2003.  She is a member of Resolution and is also a Resolution trained mediator

Since joining Keith Flower & Co Mary has concentrated mainly on Private Client and Family work, which includes Matrimonial finance, Cohabitation Disputes Pre Nuptial and Cohabitation Agreements in addition to Private Law Children’s Act matters. 

Mary is friendly, professional and extremely competent. Her Clients feel at ease with her knowing she puts their needs first and will always strive to meet their objectives. Because of her experience in industry she brings a commercial edge to her financial cases in order to obtain the best and fairest results for her Clients. The effect has been very successful outcomes in all her financial cases. 

She has considerable experience in Family Law work involving Children’s Act matters and has achieved great success in difficult and complex cases.

As well as representing Clients in all aspects of Family Work Mary also assists Clients with Inheritance Planning, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She has been appointed by many of her Clients as an Executor of their Wills and in testament to the trust placed in her by her Clients she has also been appointed as an Attorney under a Lasting Power of Attorney by some of her Clients in order to assist them in dealing with their Property and Affairs and Health and Welfare

Recent work:-
  • Being involved in a High Court case involving the validity of an Islamic Marriage, which had a recent successful outcome in the High Court.

  • Successfully representing, through a large Sydney firm, a high profile Australian, in a family law injunction application.
  • Achieving success in a very difficult Children’s Acts matters involving contact and abuse allegations. 
  • Representing foster parents against London Borough of Hillingdon which resulted in a successful outcome and her Clients being awarded costs.
  • Representing an Applicant in a short marriage with pre-acquired assets of the Respondent and achieving an equal split of all assets. 
  • Representing a Respondent who had been divorced 10 years in a financial application made after that time and which involved overseas property.
  • Representing a number of Applicants in securing substantial settlements and long term security for themselves and their children.
  • Representing a Respondent accused of dissipating assets and achieving a successful settlement with bad conduct dismissed

   
 
Paul Chapman

Paul Chapman Partner



Paul moved to Pinner in 1980.  He joined British American Tobacco as a Management Trainee leaving as Commercial Manager moving into litigation with Courage, AIB Bank and Bosch before embarking on a full time honours degree in law.

Whilst working part-time he obtained a distinction in the Law Society qualifying examination at the College of Law finishing in the top 10%.  On completing the Law Society qualifying examination he joined the film industry to set up a project team for Disney leading to similar projects for Warner Brothers and Paramount Studios.

Returning to litigation, with Rentokil and then moving to IBB Solicitors before joining Keith Flower & Co in 2008. He is currently a member of the Law Society Private Client Section specialising in Probate and Wills.

Paul joined Keith and Mary as a partner in 2011 and enjoys advising on his special interest of Probate and Wills, whilst also having experience in wider aspects of law.

Saleem Chakera

Saleem Chakera Partner



Saleem grew up in Mombasa Kenya, moving to the UK in early 90's to pursue further studies in computer studies and qualifying with honours degree to take position as a junior software developer at JATO Dynamics in Harrow. Soon thereafter he was head hunted by Xerox UK as a senior technical software engineer and was involved in numerous research and development projects.

Upon leaving Xerox, Saleem joined FIL in Edgware, moved to Cyprus and progressed to the head of IT. It was also here that he got his first taste in Law, by way of a part time open university course which left him wanting more; ultimately leading to  acquiring his second honours degree in Law in 2012.

Saleem undertook training under the watchful eyes of Edward McCourt & Co Solicitors in Watford where he was able gain proficiency in areas such as property/land law, matrimonial and private client matters.

Saleem joined Keith Flower & Company in 2016 and partnered Keith, Mary and Paul in 2017. Saleem enjoys advising in his interest of property/land law but also maintains interest in other areas of Law.

From the first point of contact Marion our Receptionist offers a wealth of experience, greeting our Clients warmly with her personable and friendly phone manner.  

Our secretaries are all highly experienced in the legal sector and are more than competent to deal with queries and offer friendly updates to our Clients as to how matters are progressing, on a day to day basis.
